Half the JSON I get is not JSON. It’s a JavaScript object someone copied, or a VS Code settings file with // comments, or a log line with a trailing comma. Auto Fix runs jsonrepair in your tab (UMD on the home page). Nothing is uploaded.
When it works, the box becomes real JSON and you can Format it. When it doesn’t, you’ll know — don’t ship the result without looking.
Trailing comma. JSON.parse hates this:
{
"host": "api.example.test",
"retries": 3,
}
Comments:
{
// production URL
"baseUrl": "https://api.example.test"
}
JS style: { name: 'Ada' } usually becomes {"name":"Ada"}.
Wrong types, missing fields, a file cut off mid-string, YAML, Python’s True/None. Duplicate keys: parsers pick one; repair does not merge them into a story. I still open the output and scroll it once. jsonrepair invents a legal tree, not your API contract.
Paste, click Auto Fix, if the status is OK then Format and Copy.
